Morning: Exploring Mirror Cave

Start your morning at Mirror Cave (Batu Cermin Cave). This cave is located very close to the center of Labuan Bajo town.
Inside the cave, you will see shining rock walls. When the morning sun shines through the holes in the ceiling, the rocks reflect the light like a giant mirror. Keep your eyes open for ancient fossils of fish and coral on the walls. It feels like walking through an underwater world from millions of years ago!

Afternoon: Swimming in Rangko Cave

After exploring the dry cave, it is time to cool down at Rangko Cave. You will take a short, 30-minute ride on a wooden boat to reach this hidden treasure.

Rangko Cave has a magical, secret pool inside. The water is bright blue and very salty, which makes it super easy to float. Swimming in this quiet cave under the hanging stalactites is the best way to escape the afternoon heat.

Evening: Sunset at Silvia Hill

End your perfect day at Silvia Hill (Bukit Silvia). This hill offers one of the best views in Labuan Bajo. You need to do a short, 10-minute hike up a dirt path to reach the top.

Once you are there, you can see a panoramic view of rolling green hills and the blue ocean. As the sun goes down, the sky turns into beautiful shades of orange, pink, and purple. It is the perfect spot to take photos and relax after a busy day.

Here is the perfect time schedule for your adventure. It helps you visit all three spots without rushing!

09:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Explore Mirror Cave. Arrive early to catch the beautiful morning sunlight reflecting on the cave walls.
11:30 AM – 12:00 AM: Travel to the harbor. Drive from the cave to the small harbor where your boat is waiting.
12:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Boat ride to Rangko Village. Enjoy the scenic 30-minute wooden boat ride across the calm, blue sea.
12:30 PM – 01:30 PM: Lunch break. Eat a delicious packed lunch by the quiet beach before heading into the cave ( optional )
02:00 PM – 03:00 PM: Swim in Rangko Cave. This is the best time to visit because the overhead sun shines directly into the cave pool, making the water glow!
03:00 PM – 04:30 PM: Travel back to town. Take the boat back to the harbor and drive toward the hills.
05:00 PM – 06:15 PM: Sunset at Silvia Hill. Hike up the hill, find a comfortable spot on the grass, and watch the sun set over the sea.

I had a private lesson first and enjoyed it so much that I came back the next day with my 13-year-old son. Wayan arranged everything quickly and made the whole experience easy from start to finish. A big thanks to our instructors , for their patience, encouragement, and ability to adapt the lesson to our different levels. They created a relaxed atmosphere where we both felt safe and had a lot of fun. My son stood up on the board much sooner than he expected, and seeing his smile made the experience even more special. The equipment was in good condition, communication was excellent, and the beach in Senggigi was a great place for beginners to build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. We did 5 days with 3 kids aged 10 to 4 and we all had the best time of our life! Instructors are keeping it fun and safe and we were able to make some good progress:) Jacka, Abu, Bull and the whole team is just the best ! Patient, and fun and excellent teachers. My instructor Wawan was fantastic — patient, knowledgeable, and super friendly. He picked me up from the ferry port and even helped organize all my transportation during my stay. I stayed in a clean, comfortable room right next to the school with fast Wi-Fi and breakfast included at a small dining area just steps away — everything was easy and convenient. I also had access to a scooter, which made exploring the area simple. The surfing itself was phenomenal — great weather, fun waves, and stunning scenery. It was a 1:1 experience since I was the only student at the time, so I got plenty of personal attention and fast progress. There was even a surf photographer who joined us, which made for awesome memories to take home.
